Social Media Commentator, Reno Omokri, has penned an open letter to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, acknowledging the influential clergyman’s role in church growth while expressing a different perspective on addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges.
In the letter, Omokri highlights that the nation’s economic situation requires collective efforts and hard work rather than relying solely on prayers.
Drawing comparisons with economically successful nations, Omokri emphasizes the role of diligent work and sound economic policies in their development.
He proposed practical steps for change, urging Pastor Adeboye to leverage his influence to encourage members to support local businesses like Glo, Dangote products, and Innoson vehicles.
He equally suggested a reduction in church activities to allow members more time for work or business engagements.
Omokri emphasized the need for agricultural productivity, urging Nigerians to utilize the rainy season for farming to reduce the country’s substantial annual food import bill.
He contended that implementing such directives would significantly impact Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product.
The commentator underscored the biblical principle of ‘you reap what you sow’ and urges a balance between faith and action, while also expressing gratitude and extending blessings to Pastor Adeboye.
