The National Secretary of National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP), Alhaji Adeagbo Raji has called on the people of Ekiti state to prioritize traditional medicine over its modern counterpart such as tablets and capsules.

The National Secretary stated this on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti at the inauguration ceremony of new Executives of the state chapter.

While maintaining that traditional medicine is a global phenomenon, Alhaji Raji urged the residents to take advantage of their residual knowledge in the use of traditional medicine to tackle illnesses.

His words, “Ekiti state is a learned state, there is no community that has not produced a professor.

“They have original medicine. I am using this medium to tell Ekiti people to let the traditional medicine rise, to let them come out with the residual knowledge that God gave to them so that traditional medicine will be prioritized over modern medicine.”
