The publisher of Fountain Newsbreaker and former Special ADVISER to the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Akogun Tai Oguntayo, has hailed the judgement of the Supreme Court, dismissing the appeal of Engr Kayode Ojo over the Governorship primary election of the All Progressive Congress in Ekiti State won by Governor Abiodun Oyebanji.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti to a crop of journalists in his office today after the pronouncement of the judgement, the former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ekiti Council, congratulated Mr Oyebanji and urged him to stress hands of fellowship to his challenger, Engr Kayode Ojo.

“The governor is the father of all now and should embrace everybody including his challenger, Engr Kayode Ojo. That’s the spirit of democracy and that’s one thing I love in the governor. Up till to date, each time we talk on issues relating to politics, his views usually bother on fairness and justice”.

Akogun Oguntayo said “the governor is not one leader that will take his opponent as enemy because such opponent chooses to explore democratic and legal means of exercising his right.” He opined that this might be responsible for “why God has been kind to him more than his other vindictive contemporaries”.

Oguntayo noted that Engr Kayode Ojo remains the governor’s friend “because, unlike those who left the party or worked against Oyebanji’s victory, Ojo remains in the party to fight for what he considered his right.” He then said it should a be no winner, no vanquished affair in the overall interest of Ekiti people.
