A female Pastor of Ignite Prayer Ministry in Abuja, Prophet Olabisi Adamu, has urged single ladies to engage in social interactions with men rather than religious gatherings when in search of Husbands.
In a viral video during her presentation at the Ignite Conference, Prophet Olabisi stressed the significance of women being friendly, emphasizing that many women appear unfriendly by constantly wearing frowns, which she believes could be a reason for their marital status.
She further urged them to invest in wigs, arguing that natural hair might not be as appealing until after marriage.
She advised women to draw their eyebrows, maintain a classy appearance, and apply lip gloss, suggesting that these beauty tips could enhance their appeal to potential suitors.
In the video, the preacher quipped, “Natural hair is not selling market,” implying that a more polished and coiffed appearance might be more attractive to potential partners.
While acknowledging the importance of prayer meetings, she advised unmarried young women not to focus solely on religious gatherings but to actively engage in social interactions, suggesting that meeting people outside of prayer meetings could increase their chances of finding a life partner.
Her remarks have sparked a lively online discussion, with some praising her advice as practical, while others argue that it perpetuates stereotypes and places undue pressure on women to conform to specific beauty standards and behaviours in the quest for a spouse.
