In a continued upheaval of political dynamics in Rivers State, 8 commissioners have announced their resignation from Governor Sim Fubara’s administration on Friday.


The recent departures include George-Kelly Alabo, the Commissioner for Works, who previously served in the same capacity under the administration of Nyesom Wike, along with Inime Aguma, the Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation.


Their decisions to step down, following closely on the heels of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof Zacchaeus Adangor, were conveyed through individual letters addressed to Governor Fubara.


It was alleged that Governor Fubara, has ordered all the commissioners appointed by the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to tender their resignation letters.


According to reports, the commissioners were told to resign today, Friday, or would be relieved of their jobs by Monday, December 18.


The 8 commissioners that have resigned so far include:


Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor (SAN).


Commissioner for Works, Dr Alabo George-Kelly.


Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Woke.


Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs Inime Aguma.


Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu.


Commissioner for Education,
Prof. Chinedu Mmom.


Commissioner for Housing.
Dr. Gift Worlu.


Commissioner for Transport
Dr. Jacobson Nbina.
