At least, four men armed with firearms and iron bars have physically assaulted Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, at his home this morning.

It was reported that they allegedly entered the garden of Aubameyang’s home in the Castelldefels area of the Catalan capital.

Aubameyang was threatened with the weapons before being beaten, with the men also intimidating the footballer’s wife to ensure they gained access to a safe inside the property.

The men are said to have taken multiple valuable items from the safe, including pieces of jewellery, before fleeing in a white Audi A3.

The incident took place at 1am today, with Aubameyang and his wife submitting statements to local police, who are on the trail of the robbers.
