A former head coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia has alleged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) of ill treatment.
Samson stated that the federation’s underfunding strategy is the hindrance behind the team’s failure to qualify for Olympics since Rio 2016.
He said, “The easiest team to coach is the super eagles because they will give you everything you need but u-20, u-16 is another problem, if you don’t know people that can help you, if you don’t start on time, you can’t qualify.
“I qualified for Olympics then because I know people that own Hotels, I went to them and beg them so that they can give us and pay them later.
“They don’t give accommodation, you will go and find it yourself. Do you know what the coaches are facing ay the national team? that’s why they can’t qualify.
“I spent my own money to make sure these boys are okay. I buy them toothpaste, brush and give them 100 100 dollars from my own pocket.”
