The incumbent Governor of Oyo State and the governorship candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Engineer Seyi Makinde has been declared the winner of the gubernatorial poll held in the state on Saturday.
Seyi Makinde, according to the State INEC Returning Officer, Prof Adedayo Bamire, polled 563, 756 votes, while his closest Rivals Teslim Folarin of All Progressive Congress and Adebayo Adelabu of Accord Party polled 356,685 and 38,357 votes respectively.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that Seyi Makinde has become the second Governor in the history of the state to secure the second term bid after Late Abiola Ajimobi.
