Following the financial constraints and issues with the Sierra Leone Football Federation, the Federation has announced the withdrawal of the Women’s senior football team from the ongoing 2024 qualifier of the Olympic Games.
The football federation of Sierra Leone late on Wednesday announced the official withdrawal of the team.
Meanwhile, African Soccer governing body a few months ago released the draw and Sierra Leone was drawn against Ivory Coast.
The qualifier commenced this week and Sierra Leone is slated to face the Ivorian this weekend in the first leg.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that Burkina Faso and DR Congo have also pulled out of the qualifier.
