Wike, represented by Bitrus Garki, Mandate Secretary, Area Council Secretariat, FCTA, explained that the exercise was part of the ongoing distribution of palliatives to vulnerable residents living in the nation’s capital.

He noted that some of the food items had already been distributed to various groups by the FCTA in the last two weeks.

His words: “This includes Area Councils, representatives of 17 Chiefdoms, religious organisations, civil servants and vulnerable groups.”he said

According to the Minister, the exercise was to align with the renewed hope agenda of the current administration of President Bola Tinubu.

He said the administration aims to instil hope for a better future for all Nigerians.

“Under this distribution phase, we are bringing the items closer to the people, ensuring direct outreach to the vulnerable groups, taking place simultaneously in all the six Area Councils of the FCT,” he added.
