President Bola Tinubu has sacked Imam Kashim as Chairman, Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
His sack, in a statement issued by special adviser to the president on media, Ajuri Ngelale, came barely a week after his appointment.
The statement reads, “The President’s withdrawal of the above-mentioned nomination is directed with immediate effect.
“All other appointments to the Board and Executive Management team of FERMA are not affected by this directive.”
At the press time of filing this report, no reason was given for the removal of FERMA Chairman.
However, speculations have it that it might be connected with the unprecedented criticism that have greeted the appointment.
