A controversial Social Media Influencer, Reno Omokri, has urged young Nigerian men to travel out of the country before marriage to experience a different perception of the female gender.

He made this known via his X handle (formerly Twitter) pointing that most Nigerian men have only experience s3x not love.

Reno said Nigeria has made men think that they cannot attract a woman without money. He explained that women outside Nigeria are mostly financially secured women from good families who only measure responsibility by how well they are loved.

In his post, “As a young man, travel out of Nigeria, even if it is just for holidays before you marry. Being born and brought up in Nigeria can make you think that without money, you cannot attract a woman of a particular league. You grow up with a warped mindset about your duties to the other gender.

“It is a cultural shock for many Nigerian men, both single and married, to discover that women in other countries don’t place the same value on money that women in Nigeria do. And these are often beautiful, financially secure women from good families. Your whole perception of the female gender changes when you travel.

“Nigerian men are even shocked to learn that it is the tradition in most countries for the bride’s family to pay for the wedding. No list from your potential in-laws that will make your heart beat uncontrollably. No drama after marriage from in-laws who will move into your house and make Mi Casa Su Casa! Responsibility is gauged by how well you love their daughter and sister, not by how well you look after outlaw in-laws.

“Do yourself a favour and travel. Even if it is just going to Ghana, travel. Ghanaian women are remarkably less materialistic than many women in Southern Nigeria. Even South African women, with all their bad PR, are remarkably very loving. Kenyan women, too. If you know how to make women laugh, you will be a king in Europe. Yes, you that if you greet one girl in Lekki, she won’t respond to you because you are not in a Range Rover. Just don’t lie to them. One lie, and they will hardly ever trust you again. In Southern Nigeria, we need a cultural reorientation. Many Nigerian men have only experienced sex. They have never experienced love.”
