Popular Uk-based Nigerian Doctor and Twitter influencer, Dr Olufunmilayo (OurFavOnlineDoctor) has been proven innocent of rape accusations levied against him by his ex-girlfriend.

NEWSTODAYNG recalled that Dr Olufunmilayo had met Dr Bolanle Aseyan from Kabba in Kogi State, who is an alumnus of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

They started discussion on Twitter in November 2019 and somehow later fell in love in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Report has it that Dr Olufunmilayo arranged for her to come over to the UK and they lived together for months, having consensual sex several times.

Dr Olufunmilayo also took responsibility of her bills, feeding, accommodation, light, water, wifi heating, and others.

However, the relationship went sour and was called off as she displayed character the doctor could not put up with in a life partner.

Dr Aseyan, who wasn’t comfortable with the decision reported to the UK Metropolitan police and accused him of rape and domestic violence.

She also moved to the UK General Medical Council (GMC) with an aim to have his license withdrawn and him deported.

The GMC accepted the case and passed it to the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) and they have since been on it since 2020.

However, after thorough investigation, UK Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) ultimately acquitted the accused due to lack of evidence.

In another turn of event, Ogunsanya’s lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has said Dr Aseyan would face the consequences of her uncorroborated and defamatory allegations, as there are clear indications that the accuser may be charged to court.

Netizens are agitated why false rape accusers refused to be jailed despite the atrocities they have caused on the emotions and the personality of the accused.

Some said, “3 years of emotional torture, career stagnation, financial downturn, mental starvation, as well as forced social media break because of one false accusation. When will there be a jail sentence for false rape accusers?”
