Super Falcons’ Coach, Randy Waldrum has highlighted areas the team need to work on ahead of the 2023 FIFA World Cup despite a 3-0 win against New Zealand in Turkey on Tuesday.
Onome Ebi, Jennifer Echegini, and Desire Oparanozie scored the goals as Nigeria secured a easy 3-0 win against Fern of New Zealand.
It is Nigeria’s second win in five days, and the third straight win but Waldrum is not satisfied yet as he pointed out areas his team needs to improve.
According to him, “I think it’s probably still a bit. I mean we got the three goals, we got the clean sheet,” Waldrum said when asked to rate the performance of the Falcons.
“So I guess maybe I’m a little harsh with that grade but there are still so many things we can improve on and do better. I think we will get there. These last two camps we’ve been building and it’s getting better and better.
“The Super Falcons will next go into a training camp for a few weeks prior to heading over to Australia and that will give us a good chance to work out some of these things I made mentioned earlier on like the passes and shapes of the players.” He added.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria are in a tough World Cup group alongside co-host Australia, the Republic of Ireland, and Canada.
