The Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Ministry of Education, Abayomi Abolaji has said that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration is committed to upgrading educational facilities for effective teaching and learning across the State.
Abolaji stated this in his address at the flag-off of 2023 Screening Test into the State Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools held at WAEC, CBT Centre in Ogba, Lagos.
He noted that the current infrastructure in the Model Colleges has a balance of bed spaces with the number of students in the schools, adding that an enabling environment with adequate facilities is key to the success of any school.
He said plans are still ongoing to expand the capacity of the State Model Colleges in Lagos.
Abolaji commended the Lagos State Examinations Board for the adequate arrangements put in place, the availability of computer systems and ensuring that all candidates are comfortable during the test.
He further encouraged the pupils to put in their best as success is surely certain for them, stressing that education is the best legacy to bequeath the children who are future leaders.
