…says FG’ll offer 2 million digital jobs
The Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima has said the federal government is ready to embark on digital revolution as a result of the provocative emergence of artificial intelligence.
Shettima stated this during an interview session with Arise TV.
He said the FG’s plans are underway to provide two million digital jobs for Nigerians, adding that more mechanisms have been put in place to match the spate of digital revolution in the world.
He said, “We are in the world of technology, data, artificial intelligence. We are uniquely in position to really go into the new age because this is knowledge agreement and Africans are agreeing massively well in that arena.
“It’s not the strongest that survive, but those that have intelligence and we have been in top line.
“Illiteracy in the 21st century are not those who don’t read and write but those who can not learn, learn and relearn.
“We are ready for digital revolution because by 2035, according to research, the world will suffer 65million global intelligence deficit.”
