Omokri reacts, says she’s suited for World Wresting Federation

Workers of Ministry of Women Affairs were filled with glitz and glamour on Wednesday as President Bola Tinubu sacked the Minister of the Ministry, Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye.

In a viral video, workers were jubilating over what they considered as a relief to the Ministry as a result of an alleged questionable character of the sacked Minister.

Kennedy-Ohaneye was sacked along four others which include Lola Ade-John as Minister of Tourism; Tahir Mamman as Minister of Education; Abdullahi Gwarzo as Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development; and Jamila Ibrahim as Minister of Youth Development.

President Bola Tinubu also made fresh appointments which include Shehu Dikko as Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Sunday Akin Dare as Special Adviser to the
President on Public Communication and Orientation, among others.

Meanwhile, a social media activist, Reno Omokri has described the sacking of Kennedy-Ohaneye as a praiseworthy move by Tinubu, saying “this woman is more suited for the World Wrestling Federation than for a role in government”.

Posting on his verified X handle, he continued “Constantly engaging in petty squabbles and disrupting events and occasions. And her meddlesomeness in cultures she does not understand, like the marriage of 100 orphaned girls in Niger State, which was consensual and did not involve underaged girls, was a major setback for the popularity of the administration in the North.

“I commend the President for showing her the door. He needs a person whose temperament is calm, with a more contemplative attitude, such that they think long term and begin with the end in mind before speaking and acting”.
