Controversial actor Yul Edochie has refuted claims of being legally married to his alleged second wife, Judy Austin, amidst a divorce suit filed against him by his ex-wife, May Edochie.

In response to the accusations of adultery and divorce proceedings initiated by May Edochie, Yul clarified to the court that his relationship with Judy Austin was solely centered around skit making and did not constitute a legally recognized union.

The ongoing case at the FCT High Court, Abuja, slated for a hearing on March 5, faced a setback as the court session did not proceed, a circumstance attributed to Yul and Judy, as per May’s legal team, led by Emeka Ugwuonye of Due Process Advocates.

Ugwuonye disclosed that Yul’s petition cited the negative exploitation of their movies and skits by a certain blog for financial gains since the news of the birth of Star in June 2021. Yul accused the blog of propagating false information and generating social media traffic for financial benefits.

Addressing May’s claims of a traditional marriage ceremony between Yul and Judy on April 24, 2022, in Anambra State, Yul denied the allegations and accused the blog of promoting misinformation for financial gain.
