In a fiery exchange on the debut episode of the Prime Video original reality show, ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa,’ Nollywood actors Zubby Michael and Timini Egbuson locked horns over the coveted title of Africa’s biggest actor.
The showdown unfolded as Egbuson proudly asserted his claim to the title while distributing gifts to his fellow stars. “I am the biggest actor out of Africa,” he declared, citing his international engagements and accolades as evidence of his stature in the industry.
However, Michael wasted no time in challenging Egbuson’s assertion, adamantly stating, “Stop f**king playing, he’s kidding. It’s not coming from a place of pride but I’m the biggest actor in Africa.” He bolstered his argument by highlighting his extensive experience, awards, and widespread popularity across various platforms.
The debate took a heated turn when Michael pointed out the limitations of Egbuson’s fame, suggesting that it does not extend beyond certain geographic boundaries. “If Timini crosses Shagamu, nobody knows him,” Michael asserted, emphasizing his dominance in both local and international markets.
Egbuson, however, fired back, accusing Michael of being typecast and lacking versatility in his roles. “You literally act the same character in every movie,” he retorted, challenging Michael’s claim to superiority.
Undeterred, Michael doubled down on his position, even suggesting that he could financially surpass Egbuson. “I can buy Timini,” he asserted, further escalating the tension between the two actors.
The confrontation reached its peak as Egbuson expressed frustration with Michael’s remarks, insisting that he did not know enough about him to make such bold assertions.
