…hints on establishment of Union’s Mega Petrol Station



The Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, Ekiti State, Chief Joseph Falope known ‘Oloforo’ on Thursday formally took an oath of office during his official swearing-in by the National Body of his Union in Abuja.

While addressing journalists in Ado-Ekiti, the State Chairman said he will turn the sod for a modern petrol station by 2024.

Addressing the gathering, Falope noted that the petrol station would generate more revenue for the union and also enable members have access to fuel at subsidized rate.

He appreciated the National Body for the affirmation of his appointment just as he also appreciated Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the confidence reposed in him.

Chief Falope confirmed that since his appointment by the Governor, he had been able to coordinate his people to be law abiding and operate in accordance with the law.

Falope noted that within his one year in office, he had secured additional building for the union and ensure prudence management of its resources without compromise.

Performing the swearing-in, the representative of the National Body, Kolawole Abdulazeez said the Chairman had just begun his official journey in office according to the law of the Union.

He urged members of the Union to cooperate with the chairman and members of the executive so as to move the union forward.

According to him, drivers are responsible people in the society hence they should shun all unlawful activities.
