The founder and chancellor, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola, has gifted eleven million naira to commercial farmers across the state.
Babalola, at the 2022 Agricultural Expo and Youth Empowerment programme, enjoined government and residents of the state to prioritise agriculture, noting that it would reduce hunger and criminality.
Meanwhile, Capability-1ne Agricultural and Engineering Services bagged the best commercial farmer award for their outstanding contributions and innovation in the agricultural sector.
The farm who specialise in animals and plant production were awarded for their contribution to food security in Ekiti State by the legal luminary.
Babalola went further to explain that the farm was keenly selected as best farm in Ekiti by experts incharge of the Agric Expo.
Receiving the award, the Chief Executive Officer of Capability -1ne Agricultural and Engineering Services, Sunday Dahunsi lauded the organisers of the programme for singling his farm out of many in Ekiti State.
Dahunsi, ably represented by Oladele Adeyanju, promised his continuous investment into agriculture to reduce number of unemployed in the country and ensure food surplus.
