The House of Representatives is to meet with the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) and other stakeholders to find a solution to the industrial action embarked on since February 14, by the union.

This was made known in a statement issued by Mr Yahaya Danzaria, the Clerk of the House of Representatives on Monday in Abuja.

According to him, the meeting which is geared towards finding a lasting solution to the lingering strike embarked upon by ASUU would take place on Tuesday at the National Assembly, the House of Reps wing.

He also noted that the House of Reps is deeply concerned about the lingering strike which seems to have defied all efforts made to find solution.

Recall that ASUU began its ongoing strike on February 14, after the federal government failed to meet some of its demands.
