Chelsea first-choice goalkeeper Edouard Mendy current deal runs until 2025 as Chelsea tried to extend his deal.

NEWSTODAYNG gathered that Mendy has rejected the first offer from the club for an improved deal.

Mendy is said to be holding out for a better deal from the club. The new deal offered by the club will see him still earn less than what his number two Kepa Arrizabalaga earns.

Mendy is one of Chelsea’s lowest earners, having joined the club from Rennes in 2020. He went on to establish himself as a regular between the sticks, helping Chelsea to the Champions League title in 2021.
