The immediate former Chairman of council of Obas in Ekiti State, Onisan of Isan-Ekiti, Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon has lamented over the death of Olumojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunji Olusola and Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin, who were gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen at Oke-Ako in Ikole-Ekiti local government.


In his condolence statement, Oba Adejuwon described the untimely death of the monarchs as a stark reminder of a challenge they face as community.

He furthered that Olumojo’s courageous advocacy for people’s rights and ELESUN’s dedication to development have left indelible marks on their hearts.

His words, “With heavy hearts, I mourn the tragic loss of our revered Kabiyesis, HRM OBA Dr. Olatunji Olusola, the Olumojo of Imojo Ekiti, and HRM OBA Babatunde Ogunsakin, ELESUN of ESUN Ekiti. Their untimely demise at the hands of armed Fulani bandits is a stark reminder of the challenges we face as a community.

The traditional ruler said they stand united against violence and injustice, while calling on Ekiti people to remember and honor the exemplary lives of these noble leaders.
