In furtherance of the 25 years Annual general meeting and conference of the Nigeria Medical Association Ekiti state branch,  members of the  association on Saturday 6th August 2022 took a fitness walk in Ado Ekiti the Ekiti state capital.

The walk which was part of the event to kick start the 25th Annual meeting and conference week started at exactly 7:30 a.m  in front of the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti.

Members of the Association in their white and Green polo’s  joined the NMA chairman Dr. Kayode Ariyibi and other executives as they took the walk  from the Eksuth gate to fajuyi park, Okesa Market. The visibly excited medical practitioners made a stop over at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium  before moving back to the Teaching hospital.

Some of the members who spoke  after the exercise expressed their satisfaction on  ” The walk for fitness” said  aside being one of the designed programs for the Medical week, it is also an avenue for members to exercise the body and create awareness of the benefits of exercise amongst the residence of Ekiti state.

The 25th Anniversary of the NMA started on Friday with a special jumat held at the hospital mosque on Friday  followed by the awareness and walk for fitness on Saturday 6th August 2022.

The programme continues with a Thanksgiving service at the Emmanuel Cathedral church Ado Ekiti on Sunday 7th 2022 while the NMA chairman  will be guest on the  programme “Daybreak Nigeria ” On Ekiti State Television (Ektv) on Monday 8th of August  2022

Tuesday 9th of August is the opening ceremony, Scientific Product exhibition and Anniversary documentation.

Wednesday 10th of August is the Annual general meeting while Thursday 11th of August will witness the election of new executives to take over the affairs of the association for the 2022 to 2024 term.

There will also be Anniversary/AGM luncheon, awards and honours same day by 2:00 p.m

The event comes to a close on Friday 12th of August 2022 with a press conference.

The special guests of honours include the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr.John kayose fayemi, H/E  Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji , Aare  Afe Babalola and the Chairman Ekiti State Traditional council Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon.
