The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye has extended Christmas largesse such as cash gifts, food items, fabrics and other gifts to his constituents in Ikole constituency 2.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the State’s House of Assembly, Babajide Agbeyo.

Rt. Hon. Aribasoye explained that the visit to the wards at this festive season was in tandem with his promise to personally present the Christmas largesse to his people as against doing such by proxy.

The festivity outreach started at ward 12 in Itapaji Ekiti where the people gave the speaker a rousing welcome, expressing their admiration of his commendable disposition to community relations, party patronage and people’s welfare at large.

Other wards visited were ward 6 Odo oro and ward ten at Oke Ayedun where similar excitement greeted the speakers visit and outreach.

At ward eleven in Ipao Ekiti, a revered chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Samuel Abejide described Aribasoye as a promise keeper and a prolific performer, saying the people are proud to have him as a good representative of both his base and the state.

The respected party leader who is also the Chairman of Local Government Service Commission in the state promised his sustained support for Aribasoye as he advised him to build more on the human capital development steps he’s already taking to get his people well situated.

The conclusive point was Odo Ayedun wards eight and nine in Aribasoye’s country home where the early morning Christmas day outreach of the speaker made the atmosphere merry with palpable smiles on faces of people.

Party leaders and members at the wards level as well as beneficiaries of the gesture were full of praises for the timely visit of the Speaker

In his remarks at the various locations, the Speaker , Aribasoye thanked the people for the support he enjoyed noting that it was heartwarming that he got crowned as the Speaker which should be considered as an added blessing to the constituency.

He asked the people to understand that his status now makes him responsible both to the constituency and the state at large as the assembly speaker, calling for more support for the Biodun Oyebanji administration which he said has good intentions for the Ekiti masses.

At the wards visited , cash gifts and food items were given to the aged and widows, as cash gesture for the ward was also handed down to the leadership while
packages were also extended to children.
