The Asaya of Isaya-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Matthew Ajayi Elejogun, has called on the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to fix the bad road network of the Town and provide lasting solutions to their lingering blackout.

The Monarch stated this at the 21st Anniversary of Isaya Day and the launching of N500 million for Building of Ultra Modern Palace.

He stated that Isaya-Ekiti has been in total blackouts for years while their roads both within within and axis are in dilapidated conditions.

He equally lamented over non supply of portable water in the Town, as they only depend on Boreholes.

“As you can see, we lack good road network, infrastructure facilities, electricity, no pipe water, drinkable water, we only depend on boreholes and others.

“The Community has been neglected for past now but, we thank God we have our own autonomy. Thank God for the Past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi for giving us the autonomy.

Speaking on ways for Oyebanji to achieve success, the monarch said the Executive Governor needs to also divert his attention into small and medium scale industries, by empowering Farmers in order to generate more revenue for the state.

“Our Executive Governor have to work hard to bring Ekiti to a substantial standard by generating funds to increase the revenue of the State.

“He will have to look inward and develop small and medium scale industry especially for processing of farm products.” He added

He thereby called on the youths of the community to embrace peace and shun social vices as such immoral acts are alien to the culture of Isaya-Ekiti.

The event has in attendance Hon. Olufemi Bamisile, member of the Federal House of Representatives for Ekiti South II Constituency, Senator Abiodun Olujimi representing Ekiti South constituency, the Oloye of Oye-ekiti, Oba Oluwole Ademola, Adugbole III, among others.

Awards were presented to deserving sons and daughters of the Town and outstanding citizens of the community.
