Men of the Nasarawa State Police Command have arrested a senior lecturer with the department of History and International Studies at Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA), Dr. Fred Ekpe Ayokhai, for ruthlessly brutalizing a 20-year-old girl who fought his daughter over a man.
Ayokhai, who is a former ASUU chairman in the school, was arrested on Friday night, October 21, alongside his daughter, Emmanuella Onawegie.
According to report, the lecturer and his entire family had stormed the home of 20-year-old Blessing Mathias to attack her for fighting his daughter, Emmanuella over a man identified as IG.
They were seen in a viral video on the internet mercilessly brutalizing her using stick, wood and other weapons. They also stripped her naked and abandoned her in a deep forest.
It was also gathered that Emmanuella’s elder brother, Praise Shola and others who were involved in the attak escaped and are currently at large.
