An ex deputy governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi has emerged the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the governorship election in the state slated for November 16, 2024.
Agboola, who polled 264 votes at the governorship primary of the party held at the Ondo State Culture and Events Centre (DOME), in Akure, clinched the party’s ticket ahead of Akinjo Kolade, who got 157 votes.
Announcing the breakdown of the results, Bayelsa State Deputy Governor who doubles as the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, said Agboola Ajayi scored 264 to emerge the flagbearer of the party.
