Abductors of ten victims comprising of six pupils, three teachers and bus driver of Apostolic Group of Schools in Emure-Ekiti, have reached out to the families with a demand of #100m ransom.
The kidnappers earlier on Monday
abducted the victims while returning to Eporo-Ekiti from Emure.
However, the Governor of the state, Biodun Oyebanji has urged the citizens of the state not to despair over the kidnapping case as efforts are being intensified to rescue them.
Meanwhile, the joint operation team of Ekiti State Police Command, Amotekun, OPC, Civil Defence and Local Hunters on Tuesday arrested five suspected Kidnappers, while on a bush combing operation through Oke-Osun, Ikere/Igbo-Okah to the thick forest around Iju/Ikere boundary.
The suspects, in a statement signed by the PPRO of the Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, claimed to be herdsmen and were found with exhibits such as two Motorcycles, one cutlass, one jack knife/ dagger and four phones.
The suspects are: Usman Jelili, Mohammed Bande, Abubakar Aliu, Isah Abdulahi and Suleiman Abdulahi.
