An unidentified man and one other, have escaped being lynched while trying to board a bus with the corpse of his 5-year-old son in Lagos.
According to the Police Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, the boy fell ill and died overnight, but the family insisted the father must bring the corpse to the village. In the process, he and one other person went to the bus terminal with the corpse. When the passengers discovered this, they almost lynched the man and it took the intervention of the police to rescue him.
He cautioned the masses to avoid bringing dangerous suspicion on themselves.
