Popular Nigerian actor and content creator, Adebowale Adedayo also known as Mr Macaroni, has revealed that he has been facing cyber-bullying since the EndSars protest.
Mr Macaroni said this on his official Twitter handle while addressing the issue of cyber bullying and harassment.
He also disclosed that he has been trolled by government supporters and also brutalized by the Nigerian Police majorly because of his political choice.
His tweet reads: “Since my participation in the EndSars protests in 2020, I have been bullied online, harassed, issued death threats, dehumanized and subjected to all kinds of insults and attacks.
“The officers that beat me and 39 others up told me categorically that I was a pain in the Governor’s flesh and that if I continued to protest or speak up, I would be killed sooner or later.
“Despite the attacks from supporters and even some officials in the same government, I have never taken law into my hands, I have never attacked anyone the way I have been attacked. All I have been doing since Endsars till now is to hold government accountable.
“I have ignored a lot of insults and I will continue to do because they are a lot. I also honestly need to protect my mental health. But I wouldn’t ignore defamation and death threats. We should be able to participate in the Electoral Process without violence.”
The content creator who said that all he has done since the election period is to encourage Nigerians to come out and vote, urged Netizens to shun all form of online and offline harassment and to respect people’s choice.
He also appealed to the Government and their supporters not to encourage bullying of any form because they seem to benefit from it.
